I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor with five years of tutoring experience. Having completed my BA with 1st Class Honours and my MA with a Distinction, I am now completing my PhD in Renaissance literature and art at Queen Mary, University of London.
I think it is important to realise that every child and adult is individual so my tutoring technique varies according to each student’s needs. For example, often the translation from mind to paper can be one of the most challenging parts of study, and I can help them to understand how to intelligently present their ideas in written form. I also assist with students struggling with grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as literary terminology, which can make an enormous difference in essay writing technique. My main skill is in drawing out the student’s own ideas and helping them develop their skills, increasing their confidence, and making learning a more engaging and fun experience.
