I have taught Maths and Statistics for over twenty years in a variety of schools and colleges, both state and independent secondary schools. I have taught both Foundation and Higher level GCSE classes and tutees. I have previously worked in Adult Education and with Dyslexic and Dyscalculic pupils. I have previous tutoring experience working in the south of England before moving to Norfolk.
As a Maths teacher I want every pupil to enjoy Maths and will use a variety of methods in my teaching, not just written exercises but also games and puzzles as appropriate. I use both visual and kinesthetic approaches to teaching and learning Maths. The world of Maths is always improved by the use of colour!
As a Maths tutor I am patient; I will ensure that you understand basic principles before progressing to harder concepts and I am happy to go over topics as many times as needed so that my tutees become confident and independent Mathematicians.
