The tutor says of himself:
I am happy to offer tutoring in Science and Maths up to GSCE and A Level physics. I am currently working as an Learning Support Assistant in a respected local secondary school. In 2023 I completed my PGCE at the UEA specialising in science, which has given me experience teaching and working with young people in three different schools. My previous career was in Structural Engineering and I would love to use my real-world industry experience to help show how science and maths are relevant and useful in the real world. I would be available in the afternoons and evenings after school in the Norwich area. In the summer of 2025, I helped two students to achieve GCSE physics success, both attaining a good pass of 5 or higher and pleased with their results. Positive parent feedback: “I would not hesitate in recommending James.” “He used a combination of explaining, questions and written work to help (student’s name) learn the subject matter”

Here is some of the recent feedback James has received:
Hi! James managed to cover the core physics GCSE curriculum in the sessions that he had with my daughter and the homework that he set her, which was the request that I had made of him and was impressive in the time available! He used a combination of explaining, questions and written work to help her learn the subject matter, with quick quizzes at the start of sessions to help refresh the previous week's work. He was extremely flexible when my daughter was struggling with her mental health, delivering work to our door when we had to cancel some sessions because she wasn't well enough to cope, and pushing her to be more organised and push herself to complete work. All this was with good humour, reflecting his understanding of neurodiversity as he knew that some weeks were easier for her than others, and it was part of a build-up back into education for her. I would not hesitate in recommending James. Many thanks!
Ms F from NorwichHi, James is absolutely fantastic, and we were incredibly lucky to find him. Before James started working with our daughter, she was on track to fail all of her exams. However, we quickly saw a significant improvement in her mock exam results, and by her final mocks she was achieving the pass marks she needed. Provided she was able to apply the skills James taught her so exceptionally well, and we were confident she would be in a strong position to pass. James has been an absolute pleasure to work with. His dedication, patience, and ability to explain things clearly have made a huge difference to our daughter's confidence and progress. Our daughter, is genuinely sad the tuition has come to an end and we can't thank him enough for everything he has done!
