I have been tutoring and teaching A level Physics and GCSE Science for over 30 years. I have a great love of Physics and have always enjoyed seeing that lightbulb moment when a student suddenly comprehends a concept or question that they had previously struggled to understand. I believe that tutoring should be a dialogue between student and tutor. The tutor has a responsibility to establish a rapport with each student and discover the best way to explain and coach that student to enhance their skills. The student has a responsibility to come to each tutoring session ready to say what topics they want to focus on and to have completed any independent work agreed upon. Whilst I enjoy working with young people, I aim to support my students so that they acquire the skills and confidence study Physics or Science successfully and independently. Tutors are not there to do homework!
