As way of an introduction, I am a full-time teacher with 19 year’s experience. I have plenty of resources to revisit/consolidate topics and several approaches to try for each idea – to find the one that works for your child. I have an eye for detail but a relaxed approach to bring confidence to the pupil. I can provide all resources needed for each lesson. I teach the A level OCR A specification and Edexcel I-GCSE. I am a senior examiner for the OCR A level H432/01 Periodic table, elements and physical chemistry paper. My background is in biological chemistry and I can bring logic and interests into the organic modules. I have been a team leader for the old OCR A level F325 paper and coursework moderator (F326). I am also an assistant examiner for A level AQA and the Cambridge International GCSE exam. This gives me a sound insight into the needs of the exams to polish examination techniques and responses – subject and exam board specific terminology is essential to achieve the top grades.

Preferred tutoring venue:

I can offer tuition at his own home, or the student’s home (provided they are within a 10 mile radius of Sprowston). Parents are welcome to stay in my home while the tuition is taking place (I have a very friendly small Sheltie dog so please let me know if you are not OK with dogs) or they could use the nearby Tesco store cafe or Blue Boar public house.

Andy has been great! Lizze has got a lot out of the sessions. Andy seems to know exactly what Lizze needs to learn and it has given her so much confidence. She has some mock exams this week and normally this would be causing a lot of anxiety but thanks to the extra lessons Lizze is very relaxed!
